Antonio Piedra

Antonio Piedra, an award-winning producer, has a diverse and impressive portfolio, including co-producing Sony’s Urban Classic release. "Shottas" and the critically acclaimed "Lost Everything". His versatile commercial campaigns for brands like Bank Atlantic, Toyota, Nike, and Make-A-Wish have earned him praise. Notably, his music video work earned a Best Music Video nomination in 2004, establishing him as a premier producer. Collaborations with artists like Pitbull, Missy Elliott, Christina Aguilera, Busta Rhymes, and Shaggy further solidify his reputation as a trailblazer.

My Story

In the late '90s, Piedra began his career as a producer, director, and writer with Tricom Pictures, gaining recognition for his impactful commercials. In 2000, he received the National Recognition Award for the powerful PSA "Daddy's Home" and created heartwarming, critically acclaimed spots for Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “When You Believe” campaign. That same year, Antonio was recruited by Byebyenow.com, the world's largest travel agency at the time, quickly earning praise and recognition for his productions.

 

​In 2002, Piedra transitioned to film production, contributing to the cult classic film "Shottas," which was ranked #8 on BET's best gangster movie list. His success in music videos took off in 2006 with hits incuding "Go Girl" for Pitbull, which was nominated for Best Video on BET. From 2007 to 2010, Piedra produced videos for top artists including Missy Elliott, Wyclef, Shaggy, Lumidee, Shaquille O'Neal, Hawthorne Heights, and Ricardo Montaner.

 

Piedra served as a producer on the critically acclaimed independent film "Lost Everything," The film garnered numerous awards at various film festivals, including the 2008 Audience Award at the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival, Best Suspense Thriller at The Indie Gathering, Best  Film at Indi​Fest, and an Official Selection at the Chicago Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.

Currently, Piedra is spearheading the revival of the internationally syndicated travel show "Get Out" and developing  a slate of films including the Jackie Wilson biopic, "Higher" to the big screen, combining his passions for music and storytelling;  compelling stories such as the satire, "Art or Noise," and the film adaptation of the #1 Bestselling Novel "The Raping of Ava DeSantis".
